Academy Training

The club Academy training for U6s to U12s continues every Friday evening with U6s, U8s and U10s from 6 to 7pm at Caherslee (V92X025). Those who have not tried hurling before are always very welcome to come along and give it a go.  Hurleys and helmets will be supplied by the club for the first few weeks.

 

U12 Hurling

Well done to our U12s who concluded their first round of go-games against a skilful St.Brendan’s on Monday evening in Caherselee. Also a big thank you to Damien Kissane for referring the game.

 

Minor Camogie

Round 3 of the Minor county league saw a hotly contested fixture between Tralee Parnells and Ballyduff. With two well matched sides both teams played some great Camogie taking some fantastic scores. It was a close game until the end with Tralee Parnells edging out winners in the end. Well done and thank you to Ballyduff for a great game and to referee Seamus Mulvihill

 

Senior Hurling 

The senior hurlers lost out in a home game in Caherslee to Ballyheigue in a round 7 of the Division 1 County Hurling League on a final score of 0-11 to 1-22.  Their next match will be against St Brendans at 7:30pm on Friday 9th May in Ardfert.     Meanwhile, the Junior team had a good start to their league campaign with a win against the Abbeydorney C team (0-14 to 1-8) while on Friday they lost out in another home game against Rathmore (1-11 to 3-7).  The Junior team will play St Brendans C team on Monday 5th May ay 7:30pm in Caherslee.

 

Family Fun day

The club will hold a family fun day and BBQ fundraiser in Caherslee on Sunday 18th May from 1 to 4pm.  This promises to be a great afternoon of fun for the family with music, dancing a games for the children.  There will also be a bake sale on the day.  Admission will be €10 per family.  Be sure to mark the date in your diary.

 

Mounthawk Senior Camogie Blitz

There was a fantastic display of our Club players lining out with their respective schools for The Kerry Group Mounthawk Blitz. The senior competition was won by Presenation Tralee Captained by our own Shauna Harris. Mounthawk took the Junior title with Parnells player Emma Gaynor as joint Captain while the Junior Shield was awarded to Mounthawk captained by her sister Louise. Well done to all those involved in organising such a fantastic initiative to give these players the opportunity to represent their schools!

 

Kerry Hurling Development Camp

Kerry GAA are running a Player Development camp in the Centre of Excellence in Currans for boys born in 2010 and 2011. The camp runs from Monday 15th to Thursday 19th June from 10am until 1pm each day.  For more details and to register checkout the Kerry GAA website or social media pages.
